A local events and rental company acquired a similar business on the lakeshore.

Wyoming-based Alpine Events, formerly Alpine Rent-All until a rebranding last year, in the fall acquired Holland-based The Rental Company (TRC), according to Alpine Events.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Carey Bisonet, president of Alpine Events, acquired the company in 2016 with the goal of expanding its footprint and market reach.

“When I purchased Alpine Rent-All, I knew we had a huge opportunity to grow within the event and rental industry. With the purchase of The Rental Company, we are able to do so much more quickly,” he said.

Robyn Allison, who owned TRC for 15 years of its history, said she sold the business so it can “continue to grow.”

“I appreciate the aggressive approach to growth and their younger ownership and management team,” Allison said. “I am excited to see them succeed in this fast-paced industry.”

Bisonet said the purchase of TRC will allow Alpine Events to offer a “one-stop-shop” for event planning rental services to all of West Michigan.

In addition to integrating TRC’s full team of 18 staff members, Alpine Events hired industry veteran Patrick Andress as director of sales and Emily Riley as director of events and marketing.

The company now has between 50 and 60 employees.
