A management consulting and financial advisory firm has opened an office in downtown Grand Rapids.
Birmingham-based Conway MacKenzie said this week it opened an office inside the Waters Center, at 161 Ottawa Ave. NW.
The office is its second Michigan location.
“As the Grand Rapids market continues to thrive, so does our firm,” said Steve Wybo, the senior managing director who oversees Conway MacKenzie’s Michigan operations.
“We are committed to continuously providing value to our clients from this epicenter for business. We are greatly looking forward to working even more closely with the West Michigan marketplace.”
Conway MacKenzie Managing Director Steve Conley will lead the Grand Rapids office.
Conley has more than 25 years of experience working with international and domestic companies — private and public — in various startup, turnaround, stable and high-growth situations.
He also has “significant expertise” in process improvement.
Most recently, he worked as CFO and corporate treasurer at National Heritage Academies.
During the past year, Conway MacKenzie has added 30 employees across its national footprint as it launched two new service lines.
The firm said it plans to hire additional employees for the Grand Rapids team this year, but it did not disclose how many.
