Financial firm appoints regional VP

The Great Lakes branch of a financial services firm has named a regional vice president to oversee its Grand Rapids office.

William Degnan, EVP of the Troy-based Great Lakes branch of AXA Advisors, said this week the firm promoted David Brouwer to the role, overseeing its Grand Rapids office, at 3501 Lake Eastbrook Blvd. SE.

“David has an outstanding track record of delivering high-performance results,” Degnan said. “We’re looking to him to build upon and enhance our strategic initiatives and growth goals for the Grand Rapids office.”

In addition to managing the office and its financial professionals, Brouwer, based in Grand Rapids, will focus on recruiting, training and developing individuals who want to build careers as entrepreneurial financial professionals in West Michigan.

Brouwer will also continue advising individuals and business owners. He provides an array of financial protection and investment products and services, including life insurance, annuities and investments, as well as college, retirement, business and estate planning strategies.

Brouwer's background

Brouwer has four years of experience in the industry.

Brouwer joined the company in 2015 and was promoted to management in 2018. He has earned numerous awards for outstanding sales.

He is a volunteer for the parent-to-parent program in nephrology at Spectrum Health Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in sales and marketing from Ferris State University in 1995.

AXA Advisors’ Great Lakes branch in Troy serves the entire state of Michigan, the west side of Ohio and northwest Indiana.
