Downtown will celebrate Independence Day tomorrow with the Amway Family Fireworks event.
The annual, free event will be held at Ah-Nab-Awen Park in Grand Rapids and will feature bands, family activities, games, food trucks and vendor exhibits.
The celebration begins at 6 p.m., and fireworks begin at 10:30 p.m.
Amway said this year’s fireworks display will last longer than previous years and conclude with a “bigger finale.”
From 7-9 p.m., children can visit the Amway Family Zone, which will include free face painting, water tattoos, balloon characters and other activities.
“We are looking forward to providing another great event for our community, and we’re excited to present a longer fireworks display with an amazing finish,” said David Madiol, community relations representative for Amway.
