A developer of gift card technology is expanding its services with a new West Michigan office.

NGC, an Illinois-based prepaid product technology company, is expanding its gift card innovation team by bringing on nine new software engineers to work at a newly opened technology and development hub in Holland.

“Adding phenomenal talent to our growing development team positions NGC to continue its vision of revolutionizing the branded currency marketplace by providing the most innovative, secure and streamlined branded currency technology solutions to our clients and merchant partners,” said Darron Schall, NGC’s chief technology officer.

The new office at 44 E. 8th St., suite 400, will be led by NGC Senior Vice President of Development and Technology Dan Morrison.

The expansion of new software development talent is expected to help meet growing demand for NGC’s gift card technology solutions from its corporate customers, merchants and reward/loyalty agencies.

The Holland team will work on NGC’s gift card and prepaid product roadmap, supporting solutions ranging from gift card mall platforms, prepaid and gift card payment experiences at a merchant’s point of sale, individual fulfillment capabilities for loyalty and reward programs, merchant gift card e-commerce and fulfillment support, digital gift card fundraising solutions and more.

NGC is headquartered in Crystal Lake, Illinois and is a portfolio company of LaSalle Capital. The company acquired Benefit Mobile in November 2018 and added a new array of tech services like gifting and self-use features, ‘shop and earn’ integrations for loyalty programs, mobile wallet integration and gift card malls.
