A food distributor in the area has named a new senior vice president of distribution sales.

Byron Center-based SpartanNash said last week Pat Weslow has been promoted to the position, effective immediately.

Weslow will oversee sales across SpartanNash’s distribution network.

He will report directly to Dave Staples, SpartanNash’s president and COO.

Most recently, Weslow served as SpartanNash’s VP of national accounts.

Staples said since joining SpartanNash in 2014, Weslow has been a “key member” of the company’s distribution sales team.

“He has played a significant role in the food distribution segment’s sales growth,” Staples said.

Previously, Weslow held executive sales and marketing positions with Acosta and Coca-Cola. He served as VP of retail operations for Acosta and as director of national retail sales and director of supermarket sales for Coca-Cola.
