A food merchant is officially opening his next two ventures inside the Grand Rapids Downtown Market.

Jeff Butzow, owner of Fish Lads and Carvers, respectively, at the Downtown Market, 435 Ionia Ave. SW in Grand Rapids, is hosting a grand opening today (Feb. 14) for his two new shops, Pinktail Poke and High Tide Soda, which also are located in the Market Hall.

Pinktail Poke will serve “premium-quality” poke bowls made from scratch with fresh seafood and “purposefully sourced” ingredients.

It is on the east side of the Market Hall.

High Tide Soda currently offers more than 400 varieties of craft soda, with a goal of selling 1,000 by later this year. The drinks are available by the bottle, six-pack, 12-pack or case, with a selection of pre-chilled options.

It is located in the space across from Dorothy & Tony’s Popcorn.

The new shops were announced in December, according to previous Business Journal reports.
