A food maker is rolling out a new cereal that combines two of its well-known flavors.
Battle Creek-based Kellogg Company said this week it will release Kellogg’s Honey Nut Frosted Flakes nationwide in January.
Kellogg said it tested more than 50 flavor combinations before deciding on this one.
“Honey Nut Frosted Flakes was a tough nut to crack,” said Brant Wheaton, senior brand manager, Frosted Flakes. “We knew our fans would be excited for this flavor, and we are too.”
Honey Nut Frosted Flakes joins the Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes lineup of original Frosted Flakes, Cinnamon Frosted Flakes, Chocolate Frosted Flakes and Frosted Flakes with Marshmallows.
The cereal will be available nationwide at major retailers and grocery stores and come in two sizes: 13.7 oz and 24.5 oz, with a suggested retail price of $3.99 and $5.49.
Founded in 1906, Kellogg Company (NYSE: K) offers more than 1,600 foods, including cereal, crackers, savory snacks and frozen foods.
Its brands include Pringles, Cheez-It, Keebler, Special K, Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes, Pop-Tarts, Kellogg’s Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies, Eggo, Mini-Wheats, Kashi, RXBAR and more.
