A food maker has launched a website all about breakfast to elicit feedback from consumers and tell its stories.

Battle Creek-based Kellogg Company said this week that it developed the site, Open For Breakfast, to receive feedback from people and find out what they’re interested in hearing about from the company — as well as to share stories, facts and figures to help people find out what goes into their bowls of Kellogg cereal.

“Listening to our consumers and offering a great start to their day is the foundation of Kellogg’s business,” said Noel Geoffroy, senior VP, Morning Foods Marketing & Innovation, Kellogg. “We want to earn a seat at people’s breakfast tables by opening up and showing how we’re working to make their mornings better.”

Topics

Open For Breakfast will feature articles and videos focused on the company’s nutrition, community and sustainability commitments.

Its videos will feature Kellogg employees, consumers, partners and third-party experts, such as farmers, nutritionists and teachers, all of whom will provide a glimpse into how the company is “working toward a better world” through topics such as family nutrition and where food comes from.

“Today, people expect more from food companies,” Geoffroy said. “Open For Breakfast is our promise to be available for deeper, real-time conversations about the ways we can continue to improve.”

On the website’s home page, viewers can watch a video titled “Making Mornings Even Better,” read the feature story “When disaster strikes, Kellogg is here to help” — which describes Kellogg’s commitment to local communities where its ingredients come from — and find out about plans for gluten-free options.
