Applications now are open for an event that will give local food and beverage suppliers the opportunity to get their products on shelves in Meijer’s small-format stores.

Pure Michigan Business Connect, the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the MSU Product Center are partnering with Meijer to connect their market-format stores to Michigan food and beverage suppliers through the Meijer Market Local Vendor Event on Feb. 23.

Programming will include a presentation from Meijer market-format store directors on how vendors can do business with their stores, followed by roundtable discussions with vendors and buyers/category managers.

Meijer will review the pool of applications and issue invitations to the event to those selected for participation. Selected businesses will be notified with the specific date and location details.

Applications are live here through Jan. 21.
