Gerald R. Ford International Airport has served a record number of passengers this year.
Ford airport reported this month its total passenger count for the year was nearly 3 million at the end of November, surpassing the 2.8-million record set in all of 2017.
November 2018 was also the busiest November ever for the airport, with an 18-percent increase to 272,438 passengers.
November was the 11th consecutive record-breaking month for the airport.
“We are thankful for the support we receive from the West Michigan community,” said Brian Picardat, interim president and CEO, Ford airport.
“We continue to work to add more air service by working with our airline partners to add destinations that West Michigan travelers want to visit. As we continue to grow, we look forward to more big things in 2019.”
The airport celebrated its 3-millionth passenger earlier this month with a party and giveaways.
