Gerald R. Ford International Airport launched a re-designed website this morning.
The website’s address remains the same, flyford.org, but the navigation, photography and overall landscape of the website are new.
Ease of use
Briand Ryks, Ford airport executive director, said one of the biggest changes users will notice is the website’s ease of use.
“This new website is much more user-friendly and easier to navigate,” Ryks said.
Users will also notice the responsive design, which means it will provide optimal viewing and navigation across devices, such as tablets and smartphones.
The website includes the airport’s new branding message, “Getting there is better here.”
The website introduces the new link “Why Fly Ford?” which breaks down the benefits of traveling in and out of Ford airport and the amenities the airport offers.
The airport has also added a booking tool to the site. The tool allows travelers to book their flights on the airport website, instead of using third-party sites.
The airport said there are several other "popular" features and pages of information that remain from the previous site: a real-time flight information tool; parking calculator; non-stop route map; and terminal information.
