Former Wendy’s CMO joins Kellogg

Kellogg Co. says the former chief marketing officer for Wendy’s soon will be joining its leadership team.

Craig Bahner will join Kellogg as president of its U.S. Morning Foods division.

He will report to Paul Norman, who was recently promoted by the company to president of Kellogg North America and had previously led the U.S. Morning Foods team.

Bahner brings more than two decades of experience in general management and functional marketing leadership roles to Kellogg.

Most recently, Bahner worked for Wendy’s, where he was responsible for the flagship brand’s brand building, marketing and culinary innovation efforts

Prior to his time at Wendy’s, Bahner spent 20 years at Procter & Gamble, where he held a variety of key leadership positions.

“I'm confident Craig will help return our U.S. Morning Foods business to sustainable growth," Norman said.

The company reported in February that  its U.S. Morning Foods segment posted a decrease in comparable net sales of 7.7 percent in the fourth quarter and a decrease of 5.7 percent for the full year. 

Bahner will officially join Kellogg on July 7.

Kellogg is the world's leading cereal company. Its 2014 sales totaled approximately $14.6 billion.
