Founders Brewing Co. has announced the date of its annual celebration, Founders Fest.
This year, the festival will be on June 22, from 3-11 p.m., in front of the taproom at 235 Grandville Ave., Grand Rapids.
The "biggest party"
Founders expects more than 6,000 attendees this year for a celebration of music, beer and food.
Local food vendors will be on hand, as will a mix of local and national music acts.
Headlining the music lineup will be G. Love and Special Sauce.
“Founders Fest is our biggest party of the year,” said Mark Dorich, Founders festival coordinator and director of retail operations. “It’s always a great time celebrating with our community, and we’re really excited about this year’s music lineup.”
FBC All Stars — Founders’ super group of employees — also will return to the stage.
Founders again will partner with The High Five Program, an organization that aims to limit litter and waste at large events. Last year, Founders and the organization managed a 90 percent waste diversion rate
“We look forward to Founders Fest every year,” Founders Co-Founder & CEO Mike Stevens said. “Beer and music bring people together, and we love being able to put on an event that does just that. It gives us the opportunity to get our family, friends and community together for a day, so that we can toast to all of them.”
Tickets go on sale April 19, and attendees must be 21 or older.
