Founders Brewing Co. has released renderings of what its current expansion phase will look like when it's completed.
Outdoor expansion and second floor
The second phase of Founders’ $26-million expansion will create an expansive beer garden in the front, where, until recently, several parking spots were found. The project broke ground on April 1.
The 3,975-square-foot area will include a variety of seating, an outdoor bar and a fireplace.
The project also includes a second-floor space for an educational facility and an expanded kitchen and company store.
Founders' phase-two expansion is slated for completion this fall.
Increased brewing capacity
The brewery is finishing up the first phase of the expansion, which will help bring its annual production of beer up to 340,000 barrels.
Together, the multi-phase project will add about 50 jobs at Founders Brewing.
