Founders Brewing Co. has released its 2019 availability calendar, confirming changes and additions to the brewery’s lineup, including the return of a couple of fan favorites.

Grand Rapids-based Founders will kick off 2019 by releasing new packaging for its Solid Gold lager: 19.2-oz cans; 12-pack cans (replacing 15-pack cans); 12-pack bottles; and 24-pack cans, national distribution.

“Solid Gold has more than doubled our first-year expectations and has driven us to meet an ever-growing demand,” said Mike Stevens, co-founder and CEO, Founders Brewing Co. “We’ll be adding additional pack sizes to accommodate more occasions and will continue to push into the American domestic premium lager space with a brand consumers can connect with.”

A handful of limited-series beers will also be added or return to the lineup, beginning with Blushing Monk, a Belgian-style ale brewed with raspberries, in January 2018.

Green Zebra Gose, brewed for ArtPrize 9 in 2017, will also return to the limited series in May 2019, and Founders Imperial Stout will arrive in December 2019, according to the calendar.

“We’ve featured a lot of beers in our lineup over the years and as a result, have had to bench some favorites to make room for new styles,” said Dave Engbers, co-founder and president, Founders Brewing Co. “The silver lining is that we then get the opportunity to re-introduce some of these beloved styles.”

The 2019 calendar also reflects the addition of 12-pack bottles of All Day IPA, beginning in late January or early February.

Additional beers, including the remaining Barrel-Aged Series beers and all taproom Mothership Series beers will be announced later in 2019, closer to their release dates.
