There's a new chief operating officer of the Four Winds casinos.
The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians in Dowagiac said last month that Frank Freedman has been appointed to the role.
The tribe operates Four Winds casinos in Dowagiac, New Buffalo and Hartford.
Freedman replaces Matt Harkness, who has stepped down from the position to “pursue other interests.”
“Frank has worked closely with Matt Harkness for 20 years, including the last eight at Four Winds, and we have the utmost confidence in his abilities to lead the organization to continued success,” said John Warren, chairman, Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians.
Warren added that both Freedman and Harkness have played “very important roles in the development, growth and success of our Four Winds casinos."
Freedman has served as the general manager of Four Winds Hartford and Four Winds Dowagiac and the assistant general manager of Four Winds New Buffalo.
He started with Four Winds casinos in 2007.
Freedman said he'd "like to thank the Pokagon Band for the opportunity to lead the Four Winds organization and continue to build upon the success that we've achieved."
