A furniture dealer has finished outfitting Start Garden’s new space downtown.
Grand Rapids-based Custer, a Steelcase dealer, said this month that it has completed furnishing the early stage venture capital firm’s space on the second floor of the Trust Building in downtown Grand Rapids, at 40 Pearl St. NW.
The 15,000-square-foot space for the fund now features a combination of products from Steelcase and its Coalesse brand, said Jody Poole, interior project designer, Custer.
The dealer helped furnish staff offices, conference rooms, the café and open workspaces.
Poole said the project was designed to complement the building’s historic architecture.
Custer supplied several types of furniture for the space: chairs, soft seating, benching and ancillary seating, including side chairs, sofas, stools and conference tables.
The space features various pieces, such as Cobi task chairs and Node mid-back chairs with a five-star base.
Custer partnered on the project with several organizations: Lorenz & Co., AMDG Architects, Triangle Associates, Studiowise and the building’s owner CWD Real Estate Investment.
