A furniture manufacturer in the region has moved into a larger showroom in California.

Holland-based Trendway, a portfolio company of Itasca, Illinois-based Fellowes Brands, said Monday that it has opened a 2,400-square-foot showroom in Los Angeles, on the 12th floor of The Reef, at 1933 S. Broadway.

Trendway had previously occupied a 2,300-square-foot space on the first floor of The Reef since 2010. A company spokesperson said the new space — which is square, rather than the long and narrow first-floor space — better meets Trendway’s need to “effectively tell the story of their architectural products,” including moveable walls.

An open house for Trendway dealers and sales reps was held in the new space Feb. 20.

“Our Los Angeles showroom has been designed to meet the needs of our valued West Coast dealer network and demonstrates our commitment to serving our customers as a trusted partner for workplace solutions,” said Mark Rhoades, president of Trendway.

The new showroom lets visitors explore “a variety of contemporary workspaces,” including touchdowns with locker storage, lounge areas and collaborative spaces as well as open and private offices.

“A renovation of this scale would traditionally take up to eight months. We significantly reduced the planning and design time of this project by utilizing products from our new Snap program,” Rhoades said.

Trendway’s Snap program, which the Business Journal reported on last May, streamlines the process of determining furniture and outfitting an office space into three steps: select a workspace, pick your furniture groupings and choose your color palettes and finishes.
