A recently acquired furniture maker in the region has named its new president, in addition to making other leadership changes.

Holland-based Trendway appointed Mark Rhoades to president and promoted CFO Jack Chance to CFO and VP of operations and customer experience, according to the company last week.

Rhoades replaces Bill Bundy, who served as Trendway’s interim president from July to October and as its CEO from 2007-16.

The company also hired Chris Tattersall and Kerry Ferguson as regional directors of sales.

The changes come after the acquisition of Trendway in August by Itasca, Illinois-based Fellowes Brands.

“On behalf of the entire Fellowes Brand team, we’d like to congratulate Mark Rhoades and Jack Chance on their new leadership roles,” said John Fellowes, president and CEO, Fellowes Brands.

“I’d also like to extend a sincere thank you to Bill Bundy as he completes his interim role as Trendway president. Bill’s guidance ensured a smooth and successful transition following Don Heeringa’s retirement.”

Heeringa oversaw Trendway for 46 years and most recently was its chair and majority owner.

Mark Rhoades

Rhoades will have full oversight of all Trendway operations, with a focus on growing sales, optimizing manufacturing capacity and the ongoing integration into Fellowes Brands.

Rhoades previously served as president of Mesa, Arizona-based ESI Ergonomic Solutions from 2017-18, after Fellowes Brand acquired the company in 2017. Before that, he was president and CEO of Huntington Beach, California-based Highmark Seating.

He holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of Missouri Trulaske College of Business.

Jack Chance

In his expanded role, Chance will lead finance and purchasing, operations, customer care and information technology, as well as providing local oversight of the human resources team.

Prior to his six-year tenure at Trendway, Chance was director of corporate finance and purchasing at Kentwood-based National Heritage Academies and a controller at Cascade Township-based Mill Steel Company.

He hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting and computer science from Texas Christian University.

Chris Tattersall

Tattersall brings more than 30 years of contract furniture industry experience to Trendway, including 18 years as owner of Norcross, Georgia-based Trendway dealer Diversified Resource Group.

He hold a B.S. in education from The Citadel and an M.S. in sports management from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

Kerry Ferguson

After a brief stint this year as director of public sector at ESI, Ferguson is returning Trendway for the regional sales director role.

She has more than 23 years of contract furniture industry experience, serving in marketing, distribution and sales leadership roles, including at the furniture dealer Glover Sales Group in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

She holds a B.S. from Towson University.
