Global travel company checks in for long-term stay

An Amsterdam-based travel website is extending its commitment to the West Michigan market.

Customer service, part of the Priceline Group, has signed a 10-year lease to remain in its 97,167-square-foot customer contact center in Wyoming, at 4147 Eastern Ave. SE.’s office has experienced about 300-percent growth since opening the space back in 2008, said Cindy Elenbaas, customer service regional director,

Elenbaas added that has invested about $7.7 million in renovating the space.

“Our long-term lease solidifies our commitment to the West Michigan market as an important employee base to perform global operations,” Elenbaas said.

The office’s growth “showcases the economic growth happening here in West Michigan,” Elenbaas said.

24-7 operation

The space is a redevelopment project of Chicago-based Franklin Partners.

Franklin Partners also invested in various upgrades at’s local customer contact center: a fitness center, outdoor gathering space, food services, conference room and other meeting areas.

The upgrades allow the site to now work 24-7 from the location.
