The West Michigan Policy Forum and the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce created a COVID-19 dashboard to provide businesses, policymakers and the public with a better understanding of the region’s hospital capacity, as well as track and compare the impact of the pandemic in West Michigan with other communities and neighboring states.

The WMPF collaborated with the Grand Rapid Chamber to develop the dashboard as part of its efforts to help West Michigan businesses and workers return to work safely.  In addition, the WMPF hosted a series of discussions with CEOs and health care professionals to share tips and best practices on how to work safely and this dashboard is another step in efforts to keep everyone safe.

Rick Baker, president and CEO of the Grand Rapids Chamber, and Mike Jandernoa, WMPF policy chair, in a joint statement said, “This kind of information is important as we work to reopen so we can rebuild our economy as quickly and as safely as possible. The clarity this dashboard helps provide will empower individual decision-making and aid the recovery process.”

The dashboard is available at the Grand Rapids Chamber website.
