A local executive has been appointed to the State Board of Architects.
Matt Slagle was recently selected by Governor Rick Snyder to be one of nine board members who regulate the practice of architecture and oversee more than 5,000 licensed professionals.
He will serve a four-year term, expiring on March 31, 2022.
His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Michigan State Senate.
Slagle is a principal and the director of K-12 education for TowerPinkster.
He serves on the Grand Rapids Public Schools Academy of Design and Construction Board of Directors and volunteers for Habitat for Humanity of Kent County.
He holds an associate’s degree in architecture from Baker College, a B.S. in business administration from the University of Phoenix and a B.S. in environmental design and an M.S. in architecture from the University of Colorado.
