The Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce has named Allie Bush its new public policy coordinator on the Government Affairs team.
Bush is a registered lobbyist for the chamber.
She will serve GRACC by working on issues like education and tax policy, legislation that could impact chamber membership and chamber advocacy events.
She will also draft and communicate chamber positions, as well as advocate for West Michigan businesses.
Bush previously worked in the Michigan House of Representatives as a policy advisor for the House Republican Policy Office.
She has also worked for the City of Rockford as an administrative assistant.
Bush earned a bachelor’s of arts in history and a master’s of public administration from Grand Valley State University,
“Allie is an energetic, dedicated and outgoing individual who brings strong legislative experience to the chamber,” said Andy Johnston, vice president of Government & Corporate Affairs for GRACC. “She is thrilled to be back in West Michigan and ready to utilize her legislative experience to advocate on behalf of the West Michigan business community.”
