The Grand Rapids Pride Center is hosting its Proud To Be Healthy event this weekend.
The nonprofit’s event will enable physicians and service providers to address the health concerns of LGBTQ residents free of charge on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the center’s office in Grand Rapids, at 343 Atlas Ave. SE.
The mission of the event is to “reduce barriers and stigma associated with LGBTQ individuals accessing health care, particularly within the trans community.”
People will have the opportunity to meet “LGBTQ-friendly” health care professionals at the event.
