East Grand Rapids ranks No. 3 in the ranking of the “Most Successful Cities in Michigan,” which was posted last month by Zippia, a career resources website.
Grand Rapids ranks No. 96.
Zippia analyzed the median household income, unemployment rate and poverty level of the 149 cities in Michigan with more than 5,000 people.
With a population of 10,999, East Grand Rapids has a median household income of $107,824, a poverty level of 2.3 percent and a 5.2 percent unemployment rate.
Townships such as Ada Township, Cascade Township and Grand Rapids Township were not included in the ranking.
