Grand Transformers has a new CEO.

The Grand Haven-based company, or GTI, a leading designer and maker of custom-engineered magnetics, said last week it hired Stephen Paul for the role.

"I look forward to being a part of an industry-leading organization with a commitment to growth through its customers' success,” Paul said. “GTI has a unique combination of a strong customer base, industry-leading products, dedication to innovation and momentum in the market.”

Paul brings with him an extensive background in engineered magnetics.

Most recently, he was the COO of Jefferson Power and Electric in Milwaukee.

He has held executive level positions in engineering or sales at Generac Power Systems, Hammond Power Solutions and Siemens Corporation.

"We were impressed with the breadth of his experience and excited about how his skills in business planning, sales and marketing, operations and organizational management skills will have a positive impact on the future of Grand Transformers,” said Steve Parker, chairman of the board and former interim CEO, GTI.

Paul received a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin.
