Griffins selling single-game tickets

The 2018-2019 regular season is fast approaching for the Grand Rapids Griffins.

This season’s opening home game is on Oct. 12 against the Hershey Bears, under new Head Coach Ben Simon.

The team said it began selling single-game tickets to the public last week.

There will be 76 regular season games, with 38 of them being home games at Van Andel Arena downtown.

There will be 25 home games played on either Friday or Saturday night.

Tickets can be purchased either online, through the Griffins mobile app, over the phone or in-person at The Zone at Van Andel Arena, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Advance ticket prices range from $16 for upper-level face-off seats to $37 for lower-level glass seats. There is an additional $3 charge for a day-of-game ticket.

The team also said it is offering several types of ticket packages.
