A health care company is closing all of its Michigan sites and laying off nearly all of its employees in the state.
Irvine, California-based ConcertoHealth is closing three sites in Southfield, Kalamazoo and Center Line and laying off more than 150 employees on June 30, following termination of a “key contract,” effective May 31, according to a notice to the state from the company’s human resources business partner, Helena Parks.
The letter says the employees do not have bumping rights and are not represented by unions.
ConcertoHealth is a medical group that provides specialized primary care to vulnerable patient populations.
The company has more than 415 employees and works with more than 31,000 patients, according to its website.
It also has operations in Washington, according to its LinkedIn page.
