A pair of community health centers in the region are getting a share of more than $3.4 million in federal funding to improve and expand access to substance abuse services in Michigan.
The funding announced recently by U.S. Sens. Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters of Michigan comes through the Health Resources and Services Administration.
They said the money is expected to support 31 new full-time employees and more than 3,900 new patients.
