Grand Rapids Natural Health merged with Michigan Center for Functional Medicine to form Michigan Center for Holistic Medicine in Grand Rapids and Lansing.

Kelly Peterson, ND, of Grand Rapids Natural Health, will serve as COO of the new practice, and Andrea McSwain, DO, of Michigan Center for Functional Medicine, will serve as CEO.

“Dr. McSwain and I have a combined vision to transform the way our patients and community view optimal wellness by providing whole person, patient-centered care,” Peterson said. “We are so happy to offer our holistic health care center and medical spa practices to both mid-Michigan and West Michigan.”

“It is all too often that patients express frustration of not finding answers, not feeling heard or accepting defeat and that they ‘cannot be helped’; this is a primary reason we created these centers,” McSwain said.

The benefits of the new partnership include:

  • Expanded services with physician oversight: osteopathic manipulation, IV therapy and vitamin injection services, microneedling and platelet-rich plasma injections
  • Integrative health care team, including integrative cardiologist Dr. Dave Johnson
  • Naturopathic physician services expanding to Lansing
  • Health restoration program for during and after COVID-19 pandemic, one-on-one and/or virtual treatments
