Holland Home names new HR leadership

A West Michigan senior services provider promoted two human resources leaders as the final piece of a two-year senior leadership succession plan.

Holland Home on Wednesday, Dec. 22, said it named Doug Himmelein executive vice president of human resources and operations and Sarah Radler director of human resources. The moves come on the heels of the announced retirement of President and CEO, Mina Breuker in October. Breuker remains president emeritus until Jan. 1 to ensure a smooth transition for new President and CEO Troy Vugteveen.

Himmelein joined Holland Home in 1997 and has held a variety of human resource and organizational development roles, most recently as vice president of human resources.

Radler joined Holland Home as an intern in 2012 and was named director of human resources after serving in a variety of human resources positions for the organization. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in health care systems administration from Ferris State University.

“The transition of these recent moves has gone very well, and the main reason for that is everyone was already part of our family, knowing and living our mission,” Breuker said. “We are well positioned for the future with a strong, wonderfully prepared executive team.”
