Metro Health offering sign-on bonuses for new hires

Metro Health – University of Michigan Health announced sign-on bonuses ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 for new employees as the organization seeks to ensure full staffing in a time of high demand for health care professionals.

Metro Health (soon to be University of Michigan Health – West), regularly named one of the “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” on regional and national levels said the bonuses include retention requirements from 80 days to 18 months.

“Our continued growth has created multiple opportunities for qualified healthcare professionals to learn what sets our organization apart,” said Jennifer Gonzalez, chief human resources officer. “We are excited to offer these bonuses to help grow our teams, just as we are proud to continue to develop new strategies to support our existing team members.”

In the last fiscal year, which ended June 30, Metro Health filled more than 1,000 positions, 38% of those being internal transfers or promotions.
