The Center for Physical Rehabilitation and Therapy LP announced plans to open its newest clinic Monday.

Located at 1865 Georgetown Center Drive, Suite B in Jenison, the clinic will provide a range of outpatient physical therapy services, including specialties in orthopedic and sports medicine care, as well as a dedicated pediatric area.

The 2,200-square-foot clinic is in the same building as the new Western Michigan Pediatrics office.

“For years, we’ve had physicians from the Jenison and Hudsonville area recommend us specifically due to our outstanding clinical care results,” said Chris Nawrocki, CEO of The Center for Physical Rehabilitation. “We were approached by Western Michigan Pediatrics to be a tenant in their new building. Our new collaborative location will provide an opportunity to strengthen our partnership with Western Michigan Pediatrics and the community at large.”

Rebekah VanZegeren will oversee the operation of the new clinic as manager while also serving as a full-time physical therapist alongside one patient care coordinator. VanZegeren’s experience includes working with professional volleyball players through the AVP tour and Olympic athletes at The Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

VanZegeren has seven years of experience as a clinician with the Center for Physical Rehabilitation, including serving as the director of sports physical therapy. She is a sports certified specialist, certified strength and conditioning specialist, McKenzie certified specialist, certified bike fit specialist and gait analysis specialist. VanZegeren also provides dry needling, blood flow restriction therapy, return-to-sport testing and pediatric physical therapy.

First Companies served as the general contractor for the new project.

The Center for Physical Rehabilitation has continued to provide patient care during the COVID-19 pandemic with the implementation of telehealth video conferencing technology and several operational adjustments.

The company has three clinics in Grand Rapids, as well as additional sites in Wyoming, Belmont, Walker, Kentwood and Greenville. The Center for Physical Rehabilitation most recently expanded in March 2019, at 7150 Kalamazoo Ave. SE in Kentwood.
