Hulst Jepsen Physical Therapy recently opened a new Pelvic Rehabilitation Center in Hudsonville.
The Pelvic Rehabilitation Center at 5340 Plaza Ave., Suite 3 is the 16th location for Hulst Jepsen Physical Therapy.
Lisa Vis, MSPT, co-owner of Hulst Jepsen Physical Therapy, will head the new Pelvic Rehabilitation Center as center manager. Vis brings over 18 years of experience and commitment to applying evidence-based approaches to meet the needs of her patients.
“Over the past 18 years, I have gained skills to better help people with pelvic floor dysfunction, pregnancy-related pain and postpartum care. I’m so excited to be able to offer these services at a clinic focused around pelvic rehabilitation,” Vis said. “I am passionate about educating and helping patients who don’t realize there is care available to improve their pelvic floor symptoms, whether it be pelvic pain, leakage or prolapse. I want people to be able to live life without limitations due to pain or pelvic floor dysfunction and am looking forward to a space offering a calm, private and healing environment for this service.”
The Pelvic Rehabilitation Center specializes in a variety of men and women’s health issues, including pelvic floor dysfunction, complex pelvic pain issues, bowel and bladder issues, incontinence, urinary frequency, pregnancy-related pain and postpartum care.
The Pelvic Rehabilitation Center will have all of these services available for patients and, once they graduate from treatment, patients are offered the opportunity to transition into the location’s wellness program.
The wellness program will consist of both yoga, Pilates and other wellness opportunities for patients to take advantage of.
