A national pharmacy chain opened a local COVID-19 self-swab testing site on Wednesday.

The Rite Aid site is at 5995 Kalamazoo Ave. SE in Kentwood. The drugstore also opened another Michigan site in Saginaw, 4598 State St.

The testing sites will utilize self-swab tests, administered in the store’s parking lot and overseen by Rite Aid pharmacists. Rite Aid expects to conduct more than 200 tests daily from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Rite Aid also has nine testing sites that opened Wednesday in Delaware, Idaho, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia, for a total of 24 testing sites across eight states.
