A new health club is set to open in Grand Rapids.
Planet Fitness said yesterday it will open a 24,000-square-foot location at 2807 Lake Michigan Dr. NW on Feb. 24.
The club will host a ribbon cutting on March 6.
Club amenities
Planet Fitness features a variety of cardio machines and strength-training equipment, a 30-minute express circuit, locker rooms with showers, 28 televisions, HydroMassage beds, massage chairs and tanning options.
The club is open 24 hours, seven days a week.
Planet Fitness prides itself on its Judgment Free Zone, which includes a Lunk Alarm meant to create a “hassle-free, non-intimidating environment.”
The club also offers pizza on the first Monday of every month and bagels on the second Tuesday, “as a reminder that it’s okay to treat yourself every once in a while.”
“We’re confident that our encouraging and hassle-free environment will be a welcome addition to the community,” said Pat Schafer, franchisee, Planet Fitness.
