A chain of health clubs is adding its second location in town.
Orangetheory Fitness has signed a lease for a 3,200-square-foot space at the Village at Knapp’s Crossing in Grand Rapids, at 2052 E. Beltline Ave. NE, according to Colliers West Michigan today.
Orangetheory Fitness offers 60-minute, heart-rate-monitored interval training over five zones.
The location should open this summer.
The club will have 10 to 12 employees.
“We believe there is a need for this heart-rate-based workout option in this area, and with the proximity to the Knapp-area neighborhoods and the surrounding growth in retail, we couldn’t think of a better location for a new Orangetheory Fitness,” said Leah Bush, franchisee, Orangetheory Fitness.
“We became passionate about this concept after trying a workout at the 28th Street SE facility and think it will be a great fit for the Knapp’s Crossing community.”
Orangetheory Fitness contracted CD Barnes Construction for the build out, along with D.A.S. Architects. Lake Michigan Credit Union will provide financial assistance.
Mike Murray, SVP at Colliers International West Michigan, assisted Bush in the transaction.
The landlord, Chris Brochert, partner at Lormax Stern, represented himself.
