A Hilton extended-stay hotel brand is planning to enter the Michigan market via West Michigan.

A Home2 Suites by Hilton will be constructed in Holland, at 0 West Shore Dr., just north of The Shops at Westshore, according to NAI Wisinski of West Michigan last week.

NAI Wisinski of West Michigan said Doug Taatjes, a partner and associate broker at the firm, represented the seller of the land where the hotel will be located, West Shore Investors LLC.

Cheri Renfeld with Berkshire Hathaway represented the buyer, IMDC Acquisitions LLC.

Details on the hotel project, such as the construction timeline, number of floors and number of rooms, have not been finalized, NAI Wisinski of West Michigan said.

Home2 Suites are pet friendly, extended-stay hotels, featuring in-suite kitchens, free breakfast and amenities, such as free Wi-Fi, a combined fitness center and laundry facility, saline pools and outdoor lounge areas.

The first Home2 Suites, Hilton’s newest brand, was built in 2009 in North Carolina.
