A North American chain of home care service providers is nearly doubling its footprint in the market.
Home care growth
Palto Alto, Calif.-based Home Care Assistance — which provides non-medical in-home care to seniors — has moved its location in the market into a 1,400-square-foot space at Centerpointe Mall in Grand Rapids, at 3578 28th St. SE.
Home Care Assistance said it expects to see 110 percent growth in clientele in the new space, which officially opened last month.
The Grand Rapids office employs 21 caregivers, and there are plans to hire more caregivers as the office grows, said Darlene Downs-Jones, director of operations, Home Care Assistance.
The provider’s former location in the market was in a 770-square-foot space in Kentwood, at 3160 Breton Rd. SE.
“We moved because of our growth and the growth potential in both clients and caregivers,” Downs-Jones said.
Home Care Assistance said the Grand Rapids office helps seniors with their physical, dietary, social, emotional and spiritual needs.
The chain serves other Michigan locations in Midland, Grosse Pointe, Birmingham and Monroe.
