A home furnishings store is coming to a Grand Rapids neighborhood.
MODRN GR, a "modern" boutique, will open at Fulton Square in Eastown, at 1 Carlton Ave. SE, in June, according to Colliers International West Michigan last week.
The business will occupy 814 square feet and be the final retailer to join the mixed-use development.
“MODRN GR plans to bring a trendy, eclectic vibe to the Eastown area and serve our customers with furniture and home accessories they have been waiting a long time for,” said Katie Lyons-Church, owner, MODRN GR.
MODRN GR will neighbor two other women-owned businesses that have opened at Fulton Square: E+L Salon and Ada Mae, a women’s clothing retailer.
The development will also be home to Danzon Cubano, a Cuban street food restaurant, opening in June, and features 47 residential units at full occupancy.
“We are thrilled to fill Fulton Square with local retailers and community-minded businesses,” said John Wheeler, president, Orion Real Estate Solutions, a division of Grand Rapids-based Orion Construction.
MODRN GR worked with Colliers International West Michigan to secure the space.
