A hotelier and restaurant operator in the area has a new headquarters.

Suburban Inns will consolidate its corporate operations into a single-story, 8,262-square-foot building in Hudsonville, at 3380 Highland Dr., according to Colliers West Michigan today.

The building is about half office space and half warehouse space.

Suburban Inns has had corporate employees in Rockford, Grandville and Holland.

“We picked Hudsonville, because it’s a central location between all of our hotels in Holland and Grand Rapids,” Suburban Inns CEO Peter Beukema said. “Our new corporate office building will provide us with the much-needed space to continue expanding our team and growing our successful business.”

Suburban Inns has 16 corporate employees and more than 400 employees at its five hotels and four restaurants in Holland, Grand Rapids and Midland.

The company is planning to hire for a variety of full- and part-time positions, with open positions listed at the firm’s website.

Colliers West Michigan Industrial Associate Tim Van Nord and Associate Vice President Trent Wieringa represented Suburban Inns in the deal.

NAI Wisinski of West Michigan represented the unnamed landlord.

Suburban Inns has more than $80 million in projects under construction, including the Hilton Garden Inn on the East Beltline and the downtown Grand Rapids Embassy Suites on Monroe Avenue.
