WSI Workforce Strategies Inc. will host a job fair next week in Grand Rapids to fill openings in several industries.
The career event will be held 11 a.m.-4 p.m. July 7 at the staffing firm’s local chapter, at 1960 28th St. SE, according to WSI.
The fair will be held outdoors and will include a tent, grilled hot dogs and other treats for those who stop by.
“We have hundreds of openings for qualified workers,” said Ana Post, branch manager at WSI. “Job seekers can stop by today and start work tomorrow.”
WSI works with various companies throughout Grand Rapids in industries including food manufacturing, light industrial, aerospace, facility services and more.
“Grand Rapids companies are rebounding quickly from the recent shutdown and are eager to get people back to work,” said Steve Beebe, vice president at WSI.
WSI will be looking to fill the following types of positions for its clients:
- General laborers
- Material handlers
- Sanitation technicians
- Blow molders/assemblers
- General cleaners
- Entry-level machinists
- Machine operators
- Wash booth attendants
- Warehouse associates
- Shipping and receiving clerks
- Order processors
Pay rates range from $10-$16 per hour.
