A new "extreme fun center" based around an indoor trampoline system has opened its doors in the area.

Rebounderz, a indoor trampoline franchise, opened yesterday in Jenison, at 7500 Cottonwood Dr., its first location in West Michigan and the state.

Rebounderz Jenison

Rebounderz is housed inside a 54,000-square-foot facility.

The center features a number of offerings: a 56-bed "combo jumper"; a super dodgeball jumper; Rebounderz JumpXtreme Tower; four-lane basketball slam; six-lane foam pit — the first of its kind in a Rebounderz location; jump pillow and inflatable slide for younger jumpers; largest arcade of any Rebounderz location, which includes human foosball, fast-pitch baseball, soccer and hockey; and a cafe.

The Jenison location will also feature a custom-designed ninja warrior course and a ninja warrior training course, which are slated to open in the fall.

Customers rent time at Rebounderz.

The cost is $10 for 30 minutes, $16 for 60 minutes, $20 for 90 minutes and $10 for each additional hour.

Bouncers must also wear a pair of Rebounderz grip socks, which can be purchased for $2 and are reusable.

The center also offers specials.

The first Rebounderz opened in Longwood, Florida in 2008.

Founded by fathers Mark Gurley and Al Palladino, Rebounderz grew out of a desire to create a physical activity center for kids.

Gurley designed a trampoline system with a strict focus on creating the safest possible environment, which the pair then patented.

The Jenison location is the 11th Rebounderz to open in the U.S. The franchise also serves a location in Panama City, Panama.
