Plans are underway for a townhome-style apartment complex in Grand Rapids.
The investment group Village at 1300, LLC plans to build the 56-unit complex on a mostly vacant 5.9-acre parcel located at 1300 3 Mile Rd. NE.
The group may break ground on the project early next year.
The complex will consist of 13 buildings ranging from two to six units in each building.
Units will range from 1,050 to 1,500 square feet.
Rent may range from $1,050 to $1,600 per month.
“We specifically split the buildings up this way to make it feel more like a condo community,” said Mark Brace, a realtor and a partner at Village at 1300, LLC. “We wanted it to feel like a place that you would buy, rather that a place that you’d rent.”
Holland-based land surveyor Nederveld conducted engineering for the property.
Grand Rapids-based Lott3Metz Architecture is the architect for the project.
Grand Rapids-based CD Barnes Construction is the project’s general contractor.
