An IT firm has launched a recruiting division to help clients find in-demand IT professionals.
Open Systems Technologies in Grand Rapids, or OST, said yesterday that it has launched its information technology recruiting division, OST Recruiting Solutions.
Prompted by the growing difficulty to recruit and place IT professionals, OST Recruiting Solutions was created to help organizations place contract and direct-hire IT pros.
Meredith Bronk, president and CEO of OST, said the firm has a long history of contracting with clients to place IT professionals in temporary and contract positions.
“We have a solid track record in identifying IT talent," Bronk said. "Blending that with our entrepreneurial spirit and some nudging from clients that said we had a knack for placing the right talent, we decided to launch OST Recruiting Solutions as a formal division of OST."
The recruiting division will be led by Beth VanSlyke, who has 15 years of experience recruiting professionals, and a team of recruiting and talent management professionals.
“My focus is to lead the formal launch of OST Recruiting Solutions and the team that has been successful in identifying the best IT talent in the industry to support OST’s continued growth,” VanSlyke said. “I’ll provide strategic direction for the practice, serving clients and building long-term relationships through successful outcomes.”
OST Recruiting Solutions will work with organizations such as Amway, Pfizer and Spectrum Health in the greater Grand Rapids area, as well as clients located near its offices in Ann Arbor, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis and London to recruit IT professionals.
Several of its client services include staff augmentation, contract-to-hire resources, statement of work and direct-hire placement.
The division will focus on identifying talent for a range of IT positions: application architects/developers; project and program managers; technical leads; quality assurance testers and developers; business analysts; data center resources; and technical writers.
As OST introduces its recruiting division, the firm is launching a “First 40 on Us” initiative for both existing and new clients.
If an organization hires an OST contract recruiting consultant for the first time, it will receive the first 40 hours for free.
OST was founded in 1997 and also provides services and products for IT infrastructure, security, custom application development and business advisement.
