A local provider of music and video entertainment options to bars and restaurants has acquired a U.K. jukebox maker.

Grand Rapids-based AMI Entertainment Network — a maker of digital jukeboxes and video systems and a Harbour Group company — has acquired NSM Music Group Limited.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

NSM makes digital jukeboxes and operates a digital music network serving bars, pubs and restaurants in locations in North America, the U.K. and Europe.

The company is headquartered in Leeds, England and will remain headquartered there according to AMI, which also said NSM Music will retain its brand independence.

Martin Agabeg will remain general manager of NSM Music.

“AMI plans to continue with NSM’s successful business approach in the U.K., with increased investment in providing operators with better products and services,” Agabeg said.

Mike Maas, AMI Entertainment Network president, said the acquisition is “highly complementary” and will “expand and strengthen” AMI’s global footprint by adding a jukebox network “as rich in heritage as our own.”

NSM has a music library of more than 250,000 tracks.
