Kellogg elects board members


A major West Michigan company has added to its board of directors.

Kellogg named Carolyn M. Tastad and Noel Wallace to its board of directors. Kellogg — which had $14.6 billion in sales last year — now has 14 board members.

Tastad and Wallace join the following on the board: La June Montgomery Tabron, Rogelio M. Rebolledo, Cynthia H. Milligan, Mary Laschinger, Donald R. Knauss, Ann McLaughlin Korologos, James M. Jenness, Zachary Gund, Gordon Gund, John T. Dillon, Stephanie Burns and John A. Bryant.


The president of Procter & Gamble North America will join the board effective Dec. 1.

She has more than 30 years of experience at P&G, including roles in general management, acquisition integration and customer business development. She’s worked in the United States, Canada and Switzerland.

Tastad also serves on the boards of the Grocery Manufacturers Association and the Cincinnati Museum Center. In the past, Tastad has served on the Wella AG corporate board and several Canadian nonprofit boards.

The Colgate-Palmolive Latin America president will begin his term on the board Oct. 1.

Wallace began his career at Colgate-Palmolive in 1987 and has experience building and growing companies in emerging markets. He’s held positions in Turkey, Russia, Poland, Mexico, South Africa, Puerto Rico and Uruguay. He also has led the company’s North American unit and Global Sustainability Strategy.

Wallace also serves on the nonprofit board of Project Sunshine, and has served previously on boards such as the American Cleaning Institute, Personal Care Product Council and the American chambers of commerce in Poland and Mexico.

“Noel brings valuable experience with consumer goods in emerging markets, which is an area of increasing focus for Kellogg,” Bryant said. “The board and company will benefit greatly from his experience of meeting the demands of an increasingly digital, mobile and global consumer base.”
