Kellogg has a new leader for its North American business.
Battle Creek-based Kellogg Company said this week that Paul Norman, who has been with the company for nearly 30 years, has been named president of Kellogg North America, effective immediately.
Norman will report directly to John Bryant, Kellogg’s chairman and CEO.
Norman has had a successful track record with the company.
He has been an SVP with Kellogg since 2005 and its chief growth officer since October 2013. He’s a member of the company’s global leadership team.
He has also served as the leader of the company’s U.S. Morning Foods division on an interim basis.
Bryant said Norman’s experience “positions him as the ideal leader for the North America region.”
"His recent work to establish the new Global Category teams, while leading U.S. Morning Foods for the past several months, make this the right time for Paul to take the lead for North America,” Bryant said.
In his new role, Norman will be responsible for managing a portfolio of businesses within the region, including U.S. Morning Foods, U.S. Snacks, U.S. Frozen Foods, U.S. Specialty Channels and Canada.
History with Kellogg
Norman joined Kellogg in 1987 as part of the U.K. sales organization.
From 1989 to 1996, he was promoted to several marketing roles in France and Canada.
He was then promoted to director of marketing for Kellogg de Mexico in 1997, to VP of marketing for Kellogg USA in 1999, to president of Kellogg Canada Inc. in 2000 and to managing director of the U.K./Republic of Ireland in 2002.
In 2004, Norman was promoted to VP of Kellogg Company and president, U.S. Morning Foods.
In 2008, he was promoted to president of Kellogg International.
Norman received a bachelor’s degree with honors in French from Portsmouth Polytechnic in Portsmouth, England.
