A local law firm elected new shareholders.
Rhoades McKee named Timothy Dudley and G. Will Furtado shareholders. The two attorneys are among 40 elected shareholders who manage the firm’s three offices in Grand Rapids, Hastings and Holland.
Dudley specializes in real estate, corporate and business, cybersecurity and privacy laws. He represents business owners, commercial developers and landowners on issues regarding commercial, industrial and residential leasing, sales and acquisitions, land developments, zoning and land use issues, and condominium development and administration.
He also consults and advises closely-held businesses and entrepreneurs with other transactions and operating issues including entity selection, formation, governance, cybersecurity and privacy.
Dudley serves on the firm’s Information Technology Committee. He is a member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, the Urban Land Institute and the Commercial Alliance of Realtors. He also is a board member for Camp Blodgett, a summer camp in West Olive.
He received his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law and his B.A. from Colorado State University.
G. Will Furtado
Furtado focuses his practice on general civil litigation, complex commercial litigation and construction litigation. He has experience in breach of contract, commercial fraud, construction defect, civil theft and conversion, personal injury, shareholder and corporate governance matters.
He also represents clients in regulatory and administrative hearings, including before the Michigan Tax Tribunal, Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) and the Michigan Marijuana Regulatory Agency (MRA).
Furtado is a member of the American Bar Association, the Grand Rapids Bar Association Community Engagement Committee, the Foundation Committee and the State Bar of Michigan.
He earned his J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law and his B.A. from Duke University.
